“ Listen, I don’t do reviews. I think it’s a very pretentious thing to assume that people want your very uninteresting opinions but I can let’s this moment pass without paying homage to what I just experienced. So I’ll say this. If you have even one negative feeling let alone a bad word to say about your experience here then you are either dead or you haven’t been outside before. What this guy does with food is inexplicably outrageous and almost borderline offensive in the GREATEST and most tremendous ways. Just wow. I will challenge you to find a culinary experience within 500km of this place that is in even in the same universe as this. This Chef is out of the Whitsundays league. Undisputed world champion. It is that simple. The new owners are the loveliest, long time, tried and true local people with their hearts in Bowen and more so The Horseshoe Bay Cafe. The town of Bowen owes a visit to these wonderful hosts, Chef Robbie, their wonderful and enthusiastic staff and this newly revamped venue. A walk-off grand slam. ”

“ Situated across the road from beautiful Horseshoe Bay, this licenced Cafe is a nice place for a good feed and refreshing drinks. The prices are a bit steep and we got stung by the Public Holiday Surcharge, but nevertheless had a nice experience. They had a lovely lady singer with a good stong jazz voice singing good old R&B hits which was great to listen to. Hubby's pizza was juicy with good toppings and I had the chili muscles which were nice, but I was expecting the ones done in chili Italian tomato sauce. Maybe I should have read the menu more or asked. My bad. Still, they were nice. This place gets busy so you will need to book. ”

“ Really nice little cafe in a great location. Loved the choice of salads . Recommend if you are in the area . We grabbed a drink and a bite to eat before hiking around the area and then a refreshing drink on our return . ”

“ Nice little place. Food was pretty good. Priced high but cooked to a high standard. The little beach here is cute and the setting is rustic but nice. We enjoyed the meal. The service was very good and the lady serving was very accommodating of our dietary requirements which I really appreciate. ”

“ My wife and I went to the horseshoe cafe after we eloped for a small and intimate reception dinner with our two witnesses and we had the most wonderful experience. We were given a warm welcome to a perfect seat to dine. They had a great selection of food and drinks to choose from. We were looked after amazingly by the lovely staff, very accommodating and very friendly. We all enjoyed our meals, great size portions for a great price, had a beautiful bottle of wine for the group - or two :)) The staff made us feel very special when they brought our cake out with sparklers and added small additions to our decorations to help us celebrate. Overall, we loved our time there and definitely will be back soon. Thank you to the owners whom we met on the night, the head manager who went above and beyond and all the other staff who contributed to our night xx ”

“ We loved this dreamy, beach café! Karen is a very friendly lady and awesome to chat with. This place is a must when visiting Bowen. The chill live music with the views on the bay were incredible. We ordered a seafood pizza, which was so delicious. I wish it was bigger in size, as I couldn't get enough of it! As for the cappuccino and rum and raisin gelato, they were great as well. I definitely recommend this place! Make sure to come before the kitchen closes. ”

“ Absolutely fantastic experience under the new owners. The head chef and front-of-house team are bringing exactly what this place has been missing. Warm, welcoming service, great atmosphere, and a new menu full of flavour with generous portions. Perfect for locals and visitors alike, this place truly is for everyone. Previous local back on holiday visiting, came for a a coffee, stayed for breakfast and then continued to come back for dinner. Highly recommended. Also worth mentioning, great gluten-free options and very accommodating for celiacs. Shout out to Noah as well with the live music, excellent experience. ”
